Helping the Hispanic Community through Education

Dr. Juan D. Villarreal has joined with the Hispanic Dental Association Foundation, in its quest for continuous improvement in the development of oral health professionals, to develop a Hispanic dental scholarship program for students studying in the state of Texas. Students who seek to advance their scientific and applied clinical knowledge in dentistry so that they can aid and support the Hispanic community may apply for Hispanic dental scholarships in the amounts of $500 and $1,000.

What is the Intent of the Scholarship?
This HDA Foundation Scholarship Program wants to support promising students in their academic training. Receipt of a Hispanic dental scholarship will obligate the grantees to complete the current year of their dental or dental hygiene program.

Who Can Apply?
Any student members of the Hispanic Dental Association who have been accepted into or are currently enrolled in an accredited dental school or dental hygiene program in the state of Texas are eligible for these Hispanic dental scholarships. The individual may be at any stage of the undergraduate program, first through fourth years. Students must have permanent resident status in the U.S. and be a current student member of the Hispanic Dental Association.

The Application Process
You must submit the application form to the Hispanic Dental Association Foundation. Applications must be typed and submitted in English. Email us for information about the current year's deadline or with any questions.
